Hall 1

Hall 1 - flexible & multifunctional

It is one of the most important hotspots for concert organisers in Germany. Up to 12,000 guests can follow rock concerts, sports events or TV productions supported by top technology here. The high level of functionality of the hall ensures that trade fairs, congresses, concerts and events can be held alternately in short succession. The column-free construction guarantees a good view from all seats.

The usable hall height of 12 metres and the high ceiling load-bearing capacity of 40 tonnes makes hall 1 a great choice for large TV productions and sport broadcasting. "Wetten dass?", the ARD boxing gala and numerous MDR shows have already been broadcast live from Messe Erfurt. 

Hall 1 can be converted from a concert hall into a large conference room for up to 5,200 participants in a short space of time. Mobile stands and flexible partitions allow capacities to be adapted to the respective requirements. For all types of events, the directly connected outdoor area can be included if required.

A spacious, light-flooded foyer spread out over two floors offers additional exhibition options or space for excellent catering. Thanks to variable access options, hall 1 can also be used independently from other events at Messe Erfurt.

Possible uses

In addition to classical concerts and musical performances, various sporting events such as boxing matches and basketball games have already taken place in hall 1. Thanks to its flexibility, hall 1 is the perfect space for this kind of event too.

With 5,200 square metres of space, it is also suitable for gala events (e.g. Ball des Sports), youth congresses, company celebrations, trade fairs and exhibitions, including in combination with halls 2 and 3 for the latter.
