We expressly point out that the transfer of data on the Internet (by email communication, for example) may be subject to security breaches. It is not possible to safeguard completely against access to data via normal communication channels.
Collection of general information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) contains, for instance, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and the like. This exclusively concerns information from which no conclusions can be drawn as to you as an individual. This information is required from a technical point of view in order to provide correctly the website content you request, and necessarily arises when using the Internet. We evaluate anonymous information of this kind statistically in order to optimise our web presence and the technology behind it.
Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred to your hard disk from a website server. By this means we automatically receive certain data about your computer and your Internet connection, such as your IP address, the browser you are using, your operating system and your connection to the Internet.
Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transmit viruses to a computer. The information in the cookies enables us to make navigation easier for you and enables our website to be displayed correctly.
In no case is the data that we collect passed on to third parties or linked with personal data without your consent.
TLS v1.2 encryption
We use state-of-the-art encryption procedures via HTTPS to protect the security of your data during transmission.
When you contact us by email, the information you provide is stored for the purposes of handling your request and in case of any subsequent queries.
Use of script libraries (Google web fonts)
In order to display our content correctly and in a graphically appealing form in all browsers, this website uses script and font libraries, such as Google web fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google web fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache so as to avoid repeated loading. If the browser does not support Google web fonts or denies access, content is displayed in a standard font.
Opening script or font libraries automatically creates a link to the library operator. This makes it theoretically possible for the operators of those libraries to collect data, although it is currently unclear whether and, where applicable, for which purposes they do so.
The privacy guidelines for the library operator Google can be found here: www.google.com/policies/privacy/
Use of Google Maps
This website uses Google Maps API to display geographical information in a visual form. When Google Maps is used, Google also collects, processes and utilises data about the use of map functions by visitors. Please refer to Google’s privacy information for more details on data processing by Google. You can also change your personal data protection settings in the privacy centre there.
Detailed instructions on managing your data in connection with Google products can be found here.
Embedded YouTube videos
We embed YouTube videos on some of our website pages. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This gives YouTube information about the pages you visit. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can attribute your surfing behaviour to you. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.
If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to reckon with cookies of this kind when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you have to disable the storage of cookies in the browser.
For further information on data protection at YouTube please refer to the data protection declaration of the provider at: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
Your rights of access to information, rectification, blocking, erasure and objection
You have the right to receive information at any time regarding the personal data we store pertaining to you. Likewise, you have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked or – with the exception of the mandatory storage of data for the purpose of conducting business – deleted. Should you have a request in this respect, please contact our data protection officer. The contact details can be found at the bottom of this page.
Insofar as no statutory archiving obligation exists, you can also demand that your data be deleted. Where an obligation of this kind does exist, we will block your data on request.
You can make changes or withdraw your consent with effect for the future by notifying us accordingly.
We reserve the right to make occasional changes to this data protection declaration so that it always corresponds to the current legal requirements, or in order to implement changes in our services in the data protection declaration, such as when introducing new services. The new data protection declaration shall then apply the next time you visit.
Questions about data protection
If you have any questions about data protection, please send us an email or contact our data protection officer directly: H. Langenhan
The data protection declaration was drawn up using the activeMind AG data protection generator.
